Atheraxon

An offshoot of ATHENA Lab at Georgia Tech, the technology being developed by Atheraxon uses an antenna system to track sticker-like tags accurately without need for battery power. 5G-RFID chips, operating at extremely low-power, generate a signal that can essentially ride an electric wave generated by a central device.

Atheraxon’s technology primarily targets the shipping container industry, wherein multitudes of individual containers must be accounted for and organized. The ability to track any container in real time holds enormous potential, and Atheraxon estimates their market niche will reach $526.8 million in four years.
