Transcaval Docking

Heart valve surgery

Transcaval Docking is a novel platform technology that proposes a solution to a “non-operable” heart disease called FTR (isolated functional tricuspid valve regurgitation).

For patients with FTR, blood flows backward into the right atrium of the heart. By using a transcatheter valve (THV) heterotopic approach for transcatheter surgery, the Transcaval Docking technology opens the possibility for life-saving and life-improving operations for many patients with FTR.

The next phase of development will see this technology tested in vivo to make improvements toward the goal of quickly merging with existing commercial technology.
