William Linginfelter

Former District Director GA/Carolinas: Market Executive (Retired)

Bill Linginfelter retired from overseeing the daily commercial and retail operations for the Georgia and Carolina Divisions of Regions Financial Corporation, a top U.S. bank, in 2024.

Throughout Linginfelter’s 35-year career, he has held various management positions in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Regions in 2008, Linginfelter served as Georgia Chief Executive Officer for Wachovia Bank.

Linginfelter is on the Executive Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, which he chaired in 2010. He is on the boards of Buckhead Coalition, The Commerce Club, Piedmont HealthCare and The Foundation for Public Broadcasting in Georgia.

He has held or continues to hold leadership roles with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta Speech School.

Linginfelter received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and undertook professional study at the Graduate School of Banking of the South and the University of Virginia.
